Heimdall - guardian of the gods. He will blow the "Gjallarhorn" if danger approaches Asgard. His senses are so acute that he can hear the grass grow and he can see to the end of the world. He is the guardian of the Bifrost Bridge.

Heimdall is destined to be the last of the gods to perish at Ragnarök when he and Loki would slay one another.

Although I'm terrible busy with lots of writings for exams, I've been able to work on this on and off, started in May and it feels like it is finished now...

About the concept, I was inspired by the old Greek legend "The Sword of Damocles". The story is about Damocles and Dionysos. Dionysos teach him that to be a King is not an easy task, with power you must also be willing to accept risks. It's also a lesson in the importance of understanding someone's experience.

The beautiful Simonetta Vespucci, one of the most beautiful ladies of the era (in the mid 15th century). She was nominated as "The Queen of Beauty". After meeting her, Botticelli painted no one else for the rest of his life. Many others has also painted and illustrated her thru the years.

As a starter the ref. character was one of the default naked female Poser 5 models. Never used a 3Dm model as base before and I guess there isnt much left of the original, except for the the "doll-like" stiffness :P which maybe is quite suitable here...

The bg is partly made in Illustrator and reworked/finished in Photoshop.
